The International Council of Naga Affairs (ICNA) Web-Only Features publishing platform will publish original content and put your work to an ICNA Worldwide Readership of over 100+countries / regions. We have an open submissions policy for any content, from any discipline or expertise, that has something to say about Naga affairs and related regional issues such as the economy, defense and security, environment, politics, trade, and public policy.
Our Publishing Agreement covers all content associated with the International Council of Naga Affairs (ICNA).
ICNA’s Web-Only Features Publishing Policy:
** All submissions will undergo review by independent experts prior to publication.
** If you do not receive a response within five to seven business days, your submission may not have been accepted.

Situation Report / Briefings
Web-Only Features
Situation Report / Briefings are typically 1,000-1,500 words long. They should go beyond the basic facts to provide context and insight into current events and policy debates for our readers. Opinions may be expressed in briefings, but they should not be shrill or strident in tone. They should be timely but also relevant outside of the news cycle.
In-Depth Articles / Research & Analysis
Web-Only Features
In-depth articles are 3,500 words long and take a more comprehensive and in-depth look at an issue, often through original reporting/analysis. We welcome unsolicited articles on Naga and related regional issues such as the economy, defense and security, environment, politics, trade, and public policy from writers, researchers, and journalists.
Most Recent News Stories
Web-Only Features
The ideal length for a news story is 600 words. The most recent situation news stories, and instead of attempting to wrap multiple, complex stories into a lengthy mainbar, they should address one main idea or theme.
Formatting and Editorial Style
- All submissions should be single-spaced, Microsoft Word(doc/docx) attachments attached to an email rather than pasted into the message body.
- Although submissions may include a preferred headline, we reserve the right to change it before the Web-only publication.
- In-line hyperlinks are required when acknowledging sourcesor making references, as they greatly aid our internal fact-checking process.
- Please only send in articles that have not previously been published.

For Opinion Submission
Limit the piece to 750–800 words expressing an opinion orviewpoint on a timely news topic. When submitting an opinion piece to us, keep the following points in mind:
- Finish with a strong, thought-provoking statement.
- Take a strong stance on one side of the debate. Never, ever equivocate.
- Recognize and acknowledge the counter argument before refuting it with facts.
- Avoid using cliches.
- Acronyms should be avoided.
- Avoid using technical jargon.
- Cite specific references and data that are easy to understand.

For Press Release Submission
We welcome press releases from organizations that want their press release read by an international audience of academics, policymakers, business people, and others who rely on ICNA for a thoughtful,non-partisan, insightful analysis of the most pressing Naga issues of the day.
Please be advised that we do not accept press releases that pertain exclusively to local Naga counter-attacks or localized justifications, unless they demonstrate clear relevance to broader regional, national, or international dynamics.
