📝 ICNA Contributor & Publishing Agreement
This agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into by and between the International Council of Naga Affairs (ICNA), hereinafter referred to as “ICNA,” and the author or contributor submitting the work, hereinafter referred to as the “Contributor.”
1. Purpose of Agreement
This Agreement sets the terms and conditions under which ICNA may publish the Contributor’s submitted work(s) on its website or affiliated platforms.
2. Grant of Rights
By submitting content, the Contributor grants ICNA:
** A non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to publish, distribute, reproduce, edit, and archive the submitted work in any format (digital or print).
** The right to translate or excerpt the work for promotional or editorial purposes, with due attribution.
The Contributor retains copyright and may republish the work elsewhere, provided that the original publication with ICNA is acknowledged.
3. Originality & Authorship
The Contributor affirms that:
** The submitted work is original, not plagiarized, and does not infringe upon any third-party rights.
** They are the sole author or have secured all necessary permissions if co-authored or sourced.
** The content does not include libelous, defamatory, or unlawful material.
4. Editorial Rights
ICNA reserves the right to:
** Edit the submission for clarity, length, grammar, formatting, or house style, without altering the core message.
** Decline or remove submissions at its editorial discretion.
** Request revisions before final publication.
5. Attribution
ICNA will publish the Contributor’s work with appropriate credit, including the author’s name and bio, unless anonymity is requested in writing.
6. Compensation
At present, ICNA does not offer financial compensation for published submissions. Contributors acknowledge that publication is voluntary and unpaid, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
7. Submission Process
All submissions must be sent to submissions@icna.nl with the appropriate subject line. Submission does not guarantee publication.
8. Termination
The Contributor may request removal of the article from ICNA’s website in writing. ICNA reserves the right to remove content at its discretion with or without prior notice.
9. Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of a jurisdiction designated by the International Council of Naga Affairs (ICNA). The parties agree to resolve any disputes amicably through mutual consultation and dialogue.
